A Three-Session workshop on following Jesus

We often throw around the phrase, "Follow after Jesus," in our Christian circles. But what does "following" actually look like? How does it translate from the first century to the 21st century? We must first understand what it means to be created in God's image. If we don't fully grasp this concept, how we view Jesus will be slightly off. Jesus came to earth to show us exactly what it means to be a perfected image of God. If we study the Good News that He preached, His lifestyle, and His customs, we will learn more easily how to follow Jesus.

Becoming Like Him

session one

Understanding the full picture of what it means to be created in the Image of God is extremely powerful, and how it relates to our femininity. It can give us, as women, a different view of whom we were created to be.

In this section, Meg will explain how we were created in God's image, to work/worship/serve, and to rule and subdue creation. Further, how does this translate to how we live it out today?

Becoming Like New

Session two

The Gospel is supposed to bring life change for all of us. With an upside Kingdom and a King who sacrifices Himself...and resurrects.... who wouldn't change? But we must learn how to respond to the Good News daily. And according to what Jesus preached, this looks like repentance, trusting, and following Him.

His Lifestyle: How did Jesus live? It looks a lot different from those of us who live in the Western world. We'll take off our Western glasses and deeply dive into how Jesus would have lived and what priorities He would have had as a Jewish man in the first century.

His Teachings: Jesus preached over and over about the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. But what does this mean? What does Kingdom life look like?

His Customs: In Luke 10, Jesus went home to Nazareth and went to the synagogue to read aloud the Scriptures "as was His custom." What other habits and customs did Jesus follow?

Becoming women who disciple

A Three-Session training on discipleship

We are passionate about women leading women to be fervent disciples of Jesus.

The word “Leader” or “Shepherd” can sometimes seem like an impossible task or weighty responsibility.

It’s a good thing the New Testament provides Jesus as an amazing example.

Contact The Behold Collective today. We’d love to come and present “Becoming” to your church or women’s ministry. We have a set fee for a Two-Day retreat or a One-Day Intensive. However, as we said, we are passionate about ministering to women from all walks of life and want your ministry or group to succeed in true discipleship… so JUST REACH OUT, and we will work with you to tailor something that fits your needs and budget.

The imago dei

session one

What is our role in the Kingdom as women of God? Understanding the full picture of what it means to be created in the Image of God and how it relates to our femininity is extremely powerful. It can give us, as women, a different view of whom we were created to be.

In Titus 2, Paul gives us an example of how to disciple. So, how does that translate into the different seasons of womanhood that we find ourselves in? Meg gives a quick overview of the different stages of life and how that affects how you disciple women younger than you, and sometimes older than you.

A Woman’s identity in every season

Session two

Discipleship involves leading and shepherding. This begins with you following after the Great Shepherd in your own life, learning to shepherd while watching Jesus, and taking care of the women God has put into your life.

Leading comes down to serving them and their needs, pointing to Jesus and His Word, and encouraging them through trials and temptations.

Becoming Women who disciple

Combination Event

This event combines all three sessions, (The Imago Dei, A Woman’s Identity in Every Season, and How to Disciple Women) combining into a super-charged, passionate focus on womanhood in the Kingdom and a push for discipleship.

If you want to feel equipped or empowered to disciple women, then this event is for you.
